CNA
I’ve been a CNA for 8 years now. I worked full time in the Alzheimer’s unit and attended school while raising a 1 year old on my own, but we made it! I have spent the majority of those 8 years working with Alzheimer’s and Dementia residents. I have hospital experience, nursing home experience, group homes with special needs experience, as well as prison experience in which I do not recommend 🥴. Right now I work 12 hour shifts in a Supportive Living Facility where I am free to have close relationships with the residents that I provide care for as well as their families💜 There we promote independence but do all we can to help make their days easier. My favorite parts of my shifts are the stories of their past times and seeing their faces light up when they talk about their grandchildren. There are many pros and cons of the field, as it can get stressful and heartbreaking, but the pros will always out weigh the cons! #healthcare #lemon8challenge
