Organizing under the sink can make a HUGE impact!🧽

Does the start of the New Year🎉 make you feel 😕 like you want to get 🫵🏼 s**t together?😁

*did you read that like an infomercial? Good!*

-It can be hard to find somewhere to start and everyone’s got different goals, so here’s a little advice.

✨•Start small•✨

-If you’re wanting to get organized starting with a small space, it can make a big impact on your motivation to tackle the next thing. ✅

-The cabinet under the sink can be the perfect place to start! Here are some step to getting you organized there! 👌🏼

1️⃣: Take everything you have out of your cabinet and give it a good wipe down. 🗑️🧽

2️⃣: Add a liner that will protect your cabinet from any spills and leaks. 💦 (Cabinets are expensive so take care of the ones you have!)

3️⃣: Categorize what items you’ll be keeping in your cabinet. I suggest keeping what you use the most here and storing less used items elsewhere. 🧴

4️⃣: Play around with your set up to see what you like and what works for you! 🫵🏼 If it doesn’t work for you, you won’t be consistent with keeping it organized.

5️⃣: Using bin organizers aren’t a necessity but it does help you put items back in their place as well as maximize your space. These two tiered drawers add so much more useable space. 🧺

6️⃣: If you need extra space, take a look at organizers for the door!

7️⃣: High five yourself!🫸🏻💥🫷🏻You did it!

What’s one your list of things to tackle?

... Read moreOkay, so you've seen how a few simple steps can totally transform that chaotic space under your sink. But let me tell you, the real magic happens when you dive a little deeper into how you choose your organizers and what specific cleaning essentials become your best friends. When I first started, I just grabbed any old bins. Big mistake! Now, I swear by clear and white bins – they make it so easy to see what I have without pulling everything out. For taller bottles, two-tiered drawers are a game-changer; they basically double your usable vertical space. And don't forget the back of the cabinet door! Simple over-the-door caddies or even magnetic strips (if your cabinet is metal) are brilliant for holding sponges, gloves, or small brushes. I even found a small caddy that perfectly holds my swifter dusters – no more digging around! Think about materials too. Plastic is great for spills, especially with a protective liner underneath (seriously, don't skip this step – I learned the hard way!). But for a more aesthetic look, metal pull-out shelves can be amazing. The key is finding what works for your specific needs and cabinet dimensions. And a pro tip: once a month, I do a quick wipe-down and tidy-up. It takes literally five minutes and prevents it from ever getting out of control again. It's a lifesaver for maintaining that 'just organized' feeling. Having your cleaning products and tools neatly organized under the sink also makes tackling other household chores so much easier. Imagine needing to clean your refrigerator shelves. Instead of digging through a jumbled mess, you can just grab your all-purpose spray, a dedicated microfibre cloth, and maybe a small scrub brush – all conveniently located. I keep a small, labeled caddy with my 'Fridge & Pantry Clean-Up' essentials right there. It means less time searching and more time actually cleaning! My dish soap, various spray bottles, and even extra sponges now have their own designated spots, making daily kitchen upkeep a breeze. It's not just about aesthetics; it's about efficiency and reducing stress. Knowing exactly where your cleaning supplies are, seeing them neatly arranged in their organized bins, makes you more likely to actually use them. Trust me, dedicating a little time to this often-overlooked space will pay off every single time you open that cabinet door. Happy organizing!
