felt cute... might delete later. 😉

Let me be so for real right now...

I have been HARD on myself.

From being a leader, to a partner, to a parent, to a friend.... I've just been so critical of my being....

And because of how hard I've been on myself, I've actively been avoiding doing things that make me feel good about myself... Which is like SOOOOOO ass backwards.... But alas here we are.

Today I've put makeup on for the first time in.... Weeks probably. And I'm reminded about how much I love how good makeup makes me feel. It sure doesn't solve all of my problems, but it's making me feel good in this moment.

I'll likely never be on top of doing my hair, that's literally none of my business, but the before and after on my face.... *Chefs kiss*

Doing makeup bag makeovers all week!

Lemme know what we can build for ya. 🫶

... Read moreMakeup is more than just a cosmetic; it's a form of self-expression and empowerment. Many people find that enhancing their appearance can boost their mood and self-confidence. In a world where we often feel pressured to look perfect, embracing our natural selves and allowing ourselves to enjoy beauty rituals like makeup can be liberating. It's important to recognize that the act of putting on makeup can symbolize taking time for self-care. Whether it’s applying a little lipstick before heading out or indulging in a complete makeover, the process can be therapeutic. Engaging in these practices acknowledges your worth and reinforces the idea that you deserve to feel good about yourself, regardless of external opinions. Moreover, many in the beauty community emphasize the importance of vulnerability. Sharing authentic experiences about struggles with self-image and beauty can create a supportive environment where individuals feel accepted and understood. Platforms like Lemon8 foster such communities, empowering users to share their stories and connect over shared interests like beauty and makeup artistry. In conclusion, makeup not only enhances physical appearance but also serves as a powerful tool for emotional well-being. Let's continue to celebrate our unique beauty and remind each other that it's perfectly okay to embrace vulnerability on this journey.
