I know people will disagree or find fault in way of thinking, me making these claims don’t justify their actions nor changes in character from the initial pilot#
... Read moreSo, let's talk about the big elephant in the room: Alastor. Is he really the all-powerful Radio Demon we think he is, or is there more to his story than meets the eye? My take? I've been deep-diving into fan theories, and honestly, the idea of 'Alastor fraud' isn't as far-fetched as it sounds. The initial pilot showed a certain level of intimidation, but the series has left me wondering if his strength is truly what he projects, or if his infamous 'deal' has him on a tighter leash than he lets on. We see glimpses of his strategic nature, always playing the long game, but is it for Charlie's good or his own mysterious agenda? I personally believe he's holding back, or perhaps bound by a pact that limits his full potential, making his 'power' somewhat performative. What if his charming facade is just a strategic maneuver to gain trust while he figures out his escape? I'm convinced there's a hidden layer to his character that we haven't fully uncovered yet.
Beyond Alastor, the cast of Hazbin Hotel is just brimming with characters that spark so much debate! Let's be real, everyone has opinions on who's the best, the worst, or just plain fascinating. For me, characters like Vox, with his glitchy, menacing depiction and past as a cult leader, always make me question his true influence. Then there's Valentino, whose portrayal as an abuser with a charming facade is both unsettling and crucial for the story's depth. And can we talk about Angel Dust? His coping mechanisms for hypersexuality are incredibly complex and heartbreaking, making him far more than just a comedic relief. I find myself constantly re-evaluating characters like Charlie Morningstar, whose journey of character development amidst angelic figures and pure intentions is truly inspiring.
Even minor but impactful characters like Lute, grappling with grief and questioning her purpose, add so much richness. Lucifer, with his large white and red wings, looking down against a starry background, has such a compelling backstory that leaves me wondering about his past actions and their impact on Hell. Each character has layers, and honestly, ranking them isn't just about who's 'strongest' or 'coolest,' but who brings the most intriguing dynamics to this wild world. What are your unexpected favorite characters or unpopular opinions on the Hazbin Hotel cast? I'm dying to hear your thoughts!
FUCKING THANK YOU FOR THAT ANGEL TAKE. as someone who relates to Angel super heavily (literally have certain life events that match up) HIM BEING CALLED BAD REP PISSES ME OFF. Hypersexuality is a REAL reaction to abvse like what he experienced, it’s one half of the same coin as repulsion. Instead of avoiding it because of trauma, we seek it out to regain control over who touches us and who doesn’t.
I hope he gets a character arc where his boundaries are much more solid and defended so he gets the safety he deserves 🥰🥰
