Shiny Gligar & Gliscor WITHOUT HERBA Mystica!✨✨

Getting your hands on a shiny Gligar or Gliscor in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is definitely a rewarding challenge, especially if you're like me and want to save those precious Herba Mystica. But don't worry, even without the rare herbs, there are effective strategies to add these amazing shiny Pokémon to your collection! First off, let's talk about where to find Gligar. If you're playing Pokémon Scarlet, you're in luck! Gligar is a Scarlet exclusive found prominently in the Blueberry Academy's Terarium, specifically in the Polar Biome. This makes targeting it much easier. For my friends playing Violet, you won't find wild Gligar, but you can always get one through a trade and then evolve it yourself. Now, for the exciting part: evolution! To evolve your Gligar into the mighty Gliscor, you'll need a specific item: the Razor Fang. This item is crucial. Once your Gligar is holding the Razor Fang, simply level it up at night in the game. You can find Razor Fangs by purchasing them with Blueberry Points (BP) at the school store in Blueberry Academy, or sometimes as a reward for completing certain activities. I remember grinding those BP missions just for this! When it comes to shiny hunting without Herba Mystica, the key is to maximize your encounter rate and leverage outbreaks. Outbreaks are your best friend here, as they slightly increase the odds of finding a shiny. Once you find a Gligar outbreak, save your game, then start knocking out 60 of the target Pokémon. This significantly boosts the shiny odds for the remaining Pokémon in the outbreak. Next, you'll want to create your own sandwich to boost your chances. While Sparking Power (which enhances shiny odds) usually requires Herba Mystica, we can still use sandwiches to get Encounter Power for Ground and Flying types, which Gligar possesses. This will make many more Gligar appear, giving you more chances to spot that shiny. For an Encounter Power: Flying Lv. 2 sandwich, try combining two Prosciutto slices with an Egg, Vinegar, and Mayonnaise. This is a tried and true recipe that doesn't need any Herba Mystica. If you want to focus on Encounter Power: Ground Lv. 2, a great option is two Ham slices, one Smoked Fillet, Horseradish, and Mustard. Remember, the goal here is to flood the area with Gligar spawns. You can experiment with various ingredients, keeping in mind the different flavor profiles like "salty," "bitter," "sweet," and "tart" mentioned in my crafting notes for optimal taste and effects. For example, using "noodles" as a filling or adding "tomato" for a tangy kick can sometimes balance out flavors in unique recipes that extend effects, even if not for shiny power directly. The difference between shiny Gliscor and its regular counterpart is purely cosmetic, but oh, what a difference it makes! Shiny Gliscor sports a striking blue hue instead of its usual purple, making it a truly standout Pokémon. As for "Skorgro shiny," that's just its German name, so you're looking for the same awesome blue Gliscor! Hunting without Herba Mystica requires a bit more patience and preparation, but it’s absolutely doable. Focus on outbreaks, use your Encounter Power sandwiches, and keep circling the area.
