... Read moreHey everyone! I wanted to share a bit about my ongoing journey towards what I call 'realness' – a blend of deep self-awareness and truly honoring who I am. It’s been a transformative path, and I've found so much practical value in understanding myself better.
You know that feeling when you just aren't quite aligned? That's where I started. I began looking at a lot of material, including some fascinating insights from a book page that really resonated, discussing how our self-paradigm — the fundamental beliefs we hold about ourselves — profoundly impacts our feelings, moods, and thoughts. It also shapes how we perceive and interact with others. This concept was a huge lightbulb moment for me.
True self-awareness isn't just about knowing your likes and dislikes; it's about diving deep into those underlying feelings and moods, understanding why certain thoughts arise, and recognizing the patterns that govern your reactions. For me, connecting with this deeper understanding has been key to cultivating more #realness in my everyday life. It's about pulling back the layers and asking, "Is this truly me, or is it a reflection of what I think I should be?"
Embracing #selfhonoring then becomes the natural next step. Once you're aware, how do you act on it? For me, it means setting boundaries, saying no without guilt, and prioritizing my well-being, even when it feels uncomfortable. It's about acknowledging my feelings, rather than pushing them aside, and giving myself permission to experience them. This isn't selfish; it’s essential for a balanced and authentic existence. I've learned that honoring my true self means respecting my energy, my needs, and my unique path.
I've explored various practices on this journey. While the original post touched on things like #shamanicmediumship and #reiki, for me, practical applications often look like mindful reflection, journaling, or even deep breathing exercises to really connect with my inner state. Sometimes, it’s about taking a quiet moment to check in with my current mood or thought patterns, just like that book page suggested, to see how my self-paradigm is influencing my attitudes. It’s about being present and honest with myself.
This path isn't always easy. There are days when old habits creep back, or when external pressures make it hard to maintain my #authenticity. But every time I consciously choose to return to self-awareness and self-honoring, I feel a stronger sense of inner peace and alignment. It's about making small, consistent choices that reinforce your true self.
If you're also on a quest for more #realness and deeper #selfawareness, I encourage you to start with simple reflection. Pay attention to your feelings and thoughts throughout the day. How do they influence your attitudes? How do you see others through that lens? By gently observing your own self-paradigm, you can begin to make conscious choices that lead to a more honest, fulfilling, and self-honoring life. It’s a beautiful journey, and definitely worth the effort!
