... Read moreFrom my own journey, I've learned that stopping negative self-talk is not just about changing thoughts but also about embracing the belief that you are made with intention. When I struggled with self-doubt, reflecting on scriptures like Isaiah 41:10 gave me real comfort and strength. It reminded me that I am not alone and that God is with me, offering help and courage. It’s important to practice kindness and respect towards ourselves, just as much as we do for others. Often, we forget that being hard on ourselves can lead to emotional exhaustion and can even affect our relationships—especially when those around us, including children, look up to us as role models. I found that openly acknowledging my struggles and seeking support from faith communities or trusted friends helped me regain perspective and peace. Living without belittling yourself also means actively working on mental resilience. I started setting small goals focused on personal growth and self-love, which helped me reinforce my confidence. And importantly, I learned the value of prayer and meditation for mental clarity and spiritual growth. Even simple acts, like encouraging words to myself or sharing my story with others struggling in silence, amplified my sense of belonging and purpose. If you find yourself overwhelmed, remember that it’s okay to seek guidance—from therapy, prayer, or supportive communities. You are not meant to face hardship alone. Trusting God’s plan doesn’t mean you won’t face challenges, but it means you have a foundation of strength and hope to keep moving forward. Embrace your worth, speak kindly to yourself, and know that you are enough—just as you are.
