Ingredients:

• 1½ cups almond flour (or oat flour)

• 1 cup creamy peanut butter

• ⅓ cup maple syrup

• 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate

• Flaky sea salt, for topping

Instructions:

1. Mix the almond flour, peanut butter, and maple syrup together until well combined.

2. Press the mixture evenly into a parchment-lined loaf pan or small baking dish.

3. Melt the chocolate and spread it over the top.

4. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt.

5. Refrigerate for 1–2 hours, or until firm. Slice into bars and enjoy!

✨ You can melt the chocolate in the microwave or on the stovetop, but my favorite method is placing the chocolate chips in an icing bag and letting them sit in a bowl of warm water until melted. Then just snip the tip and spread or drizzle the chocolate over the bars—easy and almost no cleanup!

One of the best things about this recipe is how customizable it is — you can swap almond flour with oat flour if you prefer a gluten-free option or want a slightly different texture. The creamy peanut butter is essential as it binds the mixture beautifully while adding richness, so use a natural peanut butter without added sugar for a healthier choice. A personal tip for melting the chocolate: instead of the usual microwave or double boiler methods, I found that placing chocolate chips in a small sealable bag and immersing it in warm water allows for gentle melting and easy spreading. This method minimizes the risk of burning the chocolate and greatly reduces cleanup. After spreading the chocolate over the pressed base and sprinkling flaky sea salt on top, refrigerate the bars for at least 1 hour—this step is crucial to ensure the bars hold together well when sliced. These bars are great not only as a sweet snack but also as a portable energy boost. Maple syrup adds subtle natural sweetness without overpowering the flavors, making the bars balanced and satisfying. For those who want a nuttier taste, lightly toasting the almond flour before mixing can add depth to the recipe. Moreover, these bars store well in the fridge for up to a week, so you can make a batch ahead of time and enjoy anytime. This simple yet indulgent treat is perfect for anyone who loves peanut butter and chocolate combinations but wants to avoid complicated recipes or excessive ingredients. Whether you’re baking for a crowd or a quick personal snack, these 4-ingredient Reese’s Bars hit the mark in taste and convenience.
