This Enzo has over 100,000 miles on it! The owner, Richard Losee crashed at 206 MPH on a charity run with 36,000 miles on it. He spent over a year recovering from significant injuries and then went to work. So Richard, Ferrari NA, and 30 months of work, rebuilt the 1 of 493 car. They turbocharged it producing over 800hp, and went 237.1 MPH at Bonneville Flats. He also ordered a second set of doors with their tops removed to make the world's first and only removable-roof Enzo. Nicknamed "MM Enzo"for Most Miles Enzo
When I first heard the tale of Richard Losee's Ferrari Enzo, affectionately known as the 'MM Enzo,' I was absolutely captivated. Most supercars like the Enzo are considered collector's items, often pampered and driven sparingly, but this car has defied all expectations by racking up over 100,000 miles! It's a testament to incredible engineering, relentless passion, and a truly dedicated owner. The journey of this 'MM Enzo' is nothing short of epic. Imagine the horror of a 206 MPH crash, leaving a 'severely damaged red Ferrari Enzo' in its wake. Most would consider it a total loss, a tragic end to a magnificent machine. Yet, Richard Losee saw an opportunity for resurrection. His decision to rebuild, rather than replace, speaks volumes about his connection to this particular car and his unwavering commitment to bringing it back to life, even after suffering significant injuries himself. The sheer willpower involved in his year-long recovery, followed by the monumental task of overseeing a 30-month rebuild with Ferrari North America, is truly inspiring. But the story doesn’t end with its restoration. Richard wasn't content with just having his Enzo back; he pushed the boundaries even further. The car was turbocharged, boosting its already formidable power to over 800 horsepower! This wasn't just for show; it was put to the ultimate test on the Bonneville 'salt plain,' where the 'MM Enzo' achieved an astounding 237.1 MPH. Seeing a proud man in a red racing suit, presumably Richard, standing next to the 'MM ENZO' on that vast, flat expanse, truly highlights a moment of triumph over adversity and a celebration of engineering prowess. From a personal perspective, this story really makes me rethink what it means to own such an exotic car. It's not just about the nameplate or the price tag; it's about the experiences, the challenges, and the sheer joy of driving. The fact that the digital dashboard proudly displayed '99,999 miles' is a milestone most supercars will never reach, a badge of honor for a car that has truly lived. The addition of the world's first and only removable-roof Enzo further underscores Richard's innovative spirit and desire to make his car uniquely his own. This Enzo's journey, from a high-speed wreck to a record-breaking, high-mileage marvel, is a powerful reminder that some of the greatest stories are found in pushing limits, breaking norms, and transforming the extraordinary into the legendary, even if it means conquering diverse terrains, perhaps even seeing it on a 'snowy or icy surface' as some images suggest.
