... Read moreYou know, when I first embarked on my 75-Day Holy Challenge, the word 'amen' really took on a new depth for me. It's more than just a word you say at the end of a prayer; it's a powerful affirmation, a declaration of 'so be it' to God's will and your own committed intentions. Historically, 'amen' comes from Hebrew, meaning 'so be it,' 'truly,' or 'it is firm.' It's a way of expressing agreement, confirmation, and a deep desire for something to come to pass. In our daily lives, especially during a period of intense focus like this challenge, saying 'amen' can become a cornerstone of our spiritual discipline. During this 75-day journey, where we're committed to habits like a 5 AM wake-up, 10 minutes of Bible reading, and prayer before touching our phones, 'amen' is a powerful anchor. Each time I finish my morning prayer, or conclude my Bible reading, saying 'amen' isn't just a habit; it’s me affirming my dedication to these practices. It’s me saying, 'Yes, Lord, I am committed to this spiritual growth, to bringing gratitude into my reflection, and to honoring my body with 80oz of water and 90% whole foods, and even the discipline of fasting one thing.' Think about it: when you pray for strength to limit phone use to 2 hours, or for guidance during your 45 minutes of movement, truly meaning 'amen' solidifies that prayer in your heart. It shifts from a mere request to a confident expectation and a personal commitment. It’s a moment of reflection where you acknowledge divine partnership in your journey. Even when you're taking those progress pictures on Day 1 and Day 75, that 'amen' can signify the journey of transformation you are undertaking, inside and out. It’s not just for formal prayers either. I've found myself saying 'amen' silently when I make a difficult but healthy choice, or when I feel a moment of profound gratitude for a blessing. It’s a way of sealing that positive intention or acknowledging that blessing. It helps reinforce the 'no socials on Sunday' rule, affirming my decision to dedicate that day to rest and spiritual nourishment. So, as you lock into your own path – whether it's this 75-Day Holy Challenge or another personal growth endeavor – remember the power of 'amen.' Let it be your personal declaration of faith, your seal of commitment, and your heartfelt affirmation for a truly blessed and transformative journey. It's about truly believing in the 'so be it' of your intentions.
