Up, Up, And Away!!!
Looking up, up, and away…for Superman Day!! This character, aside from Spider-Man, has become my favorite superhero over the past couple of years! I think I remember being introduced to him via Zack Synder’s Man of Steel when I was only 10 years old…Damn, time flies fast!! 😳😳😵💫😵💫 However, I wanted something a bit more lighthearted and uplifting from the character. Thankfully, all of that changed when I came across Superman: The Movie from 1978 and the animated tv show: My Adventures with Superman! Both were absolutely charming tales about the Last Son of Krypton and his humanity! And now, we’re two months away from another iteration of the beloved superhero. Just thinking about it makes me emotional! And the fact that James Gunn, the man who is not only CO-CEO of DC Studios, but is behind the Guardians of The Galaxy movies, THE Suicide Squad, and the recent Dc Animated Series, Creature Commandos, wrote and directed this upcoming Superman movie?! I am overjoyed for another charming, powerful, uplifting and beautiful rendition of the Man of Steel!! After all, the world has had its fair share of totally dark and gritty stories! It’s time for something more uplifting, something more positive, something that even if it has moments of darkness and sadness, its moments of lightheartedness and joy-fullness will shine bright like the sun! It’s time for the Man of Steel, the Man of Tomorrow to make a fresh and uplifting mark on the world!!
Side note, any one saying that Superman would’ve voted for the convicted felon/clown/bigot known as Donald J. Trump for president…would ya kindly and respectfully piss off?!? Your obvious coat of ignorance and hatred is showing, and I don’t think the world needs or wants to see that anymore🤓🫠
