The Krome internment camp is currently detaining 4,000 people in its facility meant to hold ~500.
☠️THREE detainees have already likely due to dehydration/starvation according to toxicology reports.
In the women's block, up to ~30 detainees are being crowded into a single holding cell.
🚻 They are being denied toilet use and told to urinate on the floor
💧They are only allowed ONE CUP of water every 24hrs as 🧊 claims they "don't have enough resources for everyone."
🛁 They are only allowed a 3-minute shower every 3-4 days.
🛏🚫 There are NO beds. Detainees are being forced to sleep on the concrete floor, many without blankets.

The Krome Detention Center in Miami has come under intense scrutiny due to reports of appalling conditions faced by detainees. The urgency for action has led to the organization of a rally on March 29th, 2025, from 11 AM to 2 PM at the corner of Tamiami Trail and Krome Avenue. Activists and concerned citizens are encouraged to participate and show solidarity against the treatment of immigrants at this facility. The rally's goal is to raise awareness, demand changes, and advocate for the humane treatment of all individuals, regardless of their immigration status.
