#MyPetDiary #lemon8challenge watching Noodle the Pekin duck grow up has been one of my greatest joys in life! It remains to be seen whether Noodle is a girl or
boy, but we are thinking boy.
Noodle is a lap duck, and loves to come in the house, sit on a lap, and watch TV.
However, ducks are M E S S Y, so he spends most of his time outside.
Raising a duckling like Noodle can be a unique adventure filled with joy and challenges. As a Pekin duck, Noodle is known for its friendly disposition, making it an excellent companion. It's crucial to understand that ducks are social creatures and thrive on interaction, so nurturing their friendly nature is essential. Ducklings require a diet rich in nutrients, typically consisting of high-quality waterfowl pellets supplemented with vegetables. Providing a safe outdoor space allows them to forage and exercise. Be mindful of water provisions; ducks love splashing around but can make the area messy quickly. Regular bathing is also important for their feather care, ensuring they stay clean and healthy. As Noodle grows, observing changes in behavior will be fascinating. Watch for him learning to quack and interact with you; these are signs of a secure and happy pet. Additionally, keeping them in a safe environment, free from predators, is vital to their growth and wellbeing. Enjoy this journey of bonding as Noodle grows from a duckling into a vibrant companion!
