Puppy enrichment ♡

Meet Charisma (again lol) she is extremely food motivated. While looking for something to help slow down how quickly she eats her meals, I came across these puppy puzzles! They come in different "levels" with level one being the easiest and the best way to introduce your pet to this type of toy. Started off with level one, but honestly that was a piece of cake for her. This one is a level two. At this point, it is also a piece of cake for her, but it still keeps her pretty occupied.

While she is on a raw food diet and I wouldn't want to add raw food to this toy, I do buy some kibbles to use as a treat to add to the toy. I also add her vitamins, and some of her favorite treats.

Remember, positive reinforcement through treats is crucial, as it motivates your puppy to continue engaging with the puzzle. Observing your puppy's play behavior reveals their interests—some may enjoy treats hidden within, while others love the problem-solving aspect of getting to the goodies. This method fosters independence and mental agility, making it a vital part of your puppy's development. Moreover, consistent stimulation from enrichment toys can help mitigate behavioral issues stemming from boredom and excess energy, paving the way for a happier and more obedient companion. Overall, integrating varying levels of puzzle toys into playtime is an effective strategy for nurturing a well-rounded puppy.
