7 Days of swimming for sick kids! 💫🏊‍♀️

140 / 560 ✅

Today I swam for the 17 year old girl who stood on a Brighton sidewalk and watched her mother's legacy sold out from under her.

I swam for the grit it took to walk into a bank and claim a career while my world was in boxes. I'm honoring the girl who did her best when the 'nasty' noise was the loudest, and I'm grieving the moment she let her guard down for a charm that wasn't real.

I completed my laps today - not just because I'm strong, but because I'm finally learning that my value isn't defined by the people who couldn't love me right. You can lose your home, you can lose your peace, and you can even be betrayed by the ones you love - but you cannot be broken.

I am swimming through the "nasty" parts of my past so that kids can have a future where they feel as strong as a Stallion. I'm turning my oldest heartbreaks into their newest hope. Tomorrow, I will keep swimming toward the truth.

I’ve found that using swimming as a metaphor for facing life’s challenges helps me cope with adversity. Just like the author, who swims for a 17-year-old girl experiencing profound loss and grief, many swimmers find strength in turning personal pain into a mission for hope. In my own experience, committing to a routine swim for a cause helped me develop resilience and mental clarity during stressful times. Each lap symbolized moving through difficult emotions—whether heartbreak, betrayal, or loss—and emerging stronger on the other side. Swimming’s rhythmic nature provides a therapeutic flow, allowing time to process feelings while also physically releasing tension. Supporting sick kids through such dedicated efforts is especially meaningful because it connects personal healing with making a positive impact on others' lives. Organizations like the Starlight Foundation amplify this message by providing joy and support to children facing health challenges. When you swim for these kids, you are not just exercising — you’re embodying their courage and fighting for a future where they feel empowered and loved. If you’re inspired by the story shared, consider how small personal commitments—whether a swim, a walk, or any act of kindness—can build resilience and spread hope. This approach fosters a community of empathy where we transform the "nasty parts" of our pasts into new sources of strength and purpose. Let the water wash away doubts and remind you that no matter what we lose, we cannot be broken. Keep swimming toward your own truth, and the truths of those who need us most.

Do Not Have Kids If…
1. You don’t want to feel everything twice. Because when your baby’s embarrassed at school, it’ll hit you like you’re the one standing there. When they’re sick and you can’t fix it, you’ll want to fight the air for not letting you trade places. And when they color all over your couch, you’ll be mad

Day 4 ~ Swimming for sick kids
Moving through the water today, my mind drifted back to where my love for music 🎼 truly began. I can still see it~my father's Kenwood record player, the weight of the needle, and the warm crackle sound of the records. Even then, I was "addicted" to the way a song could hold a feelin
