NICU stays are emotionally and physically taxing, but they also become a testament to strength and hope from both the baby and parents. During that time, we learned the importance of cherishing every small milestone — from gaining weight to breathing without assistance. The NICU staff were incredible, providing not only expert care but also emotional support, which made a huge difference. After Shep came home, the journey continued with many adventures and lots of long walks to aid his development. It’s amazing to see how quickly he’s growing and how his personality is blossoming. Being part of these moments has deepened the bond and appreciation for the resilience of little fighters like Shep. Sharing this Father’s Day story feels special, especially as we celebrated milestones like growing from 300k followers to 1 million — a reminder of community and support that extends beyond family into the wider world. For anyone going through similar experiences, keep faith and celebrate every step forward, no matter how small.
