Early 2000s Authors Who Shaped My Reading Era

There’s something about the authors of the early 2000s that just hits differently ✨

These are just a few of the authors I read, loved, and still recommend - because their stories shaped how I fell in love with reading!

Jennifer Crusie: romcoms that were smart, funny, and gave you butterflies. Her characters felt real, witty dialogue, and her books kept you feeling flirty.

Meg Cabot: IYKYK! Meg was your book bestie for sure. I fell in love with the Princess Diaries and her more mature books like ‘Boy Next Door’ and ‘Size 12 is Not Fat’

Jane Green: novels had more emotional depth with strong female-leads that embraced their power in an honest and comforting way.

I had no business reading the authors as a teen considering the spice that poured out of these, but I also grew up on *NSYNC and BSB and shouldn’t have been bumping to their adult lyrics either. Oh well, I turned out just fine!
