Long Distance Romance Read 🫶

As someone who has been in numerous long distance relationships.. I really liked and related to this book.

I thought their relationship was SO CUTE, and it was paced really well.

I really appreciated how Izzy thought he was fake or too good to be true at first, because that’s really how it is. You never know, and it worked out great for her.

The world building was great. I loved reading about the place he was from, and the details of the location. It made you feel like you were Izzy, learning about him and the place at the same time.

Don’t get me started on Brodie. He is SO CUTE, one of my favorite book boyfriends so far. He gets flowers for sure. You fall in love with him like Izzy does.

Izzy was also a good character. I loved her character development, and how she started to choose for herself, and wasn’t afraid to do so anymore. It was pretty realistic, i’ve found myself thinking like her a few times. We’re actually on similar paths right now.

This was such a cute read. If you don’t mind the social media format, you’ll love this. It’s mostly formatted like emails, but then switches to in person when they are together in person. I loved that detail more than I thought I would.

I didn’t think I’d like it because of that; but I’m so glad I gave it a chance. They were so cute. I also love Brodie’s family. They were adorable side characters.

I’d love a sequel story about any of the family members finding love. That’s how good the characters were, they could hold up their own book just fine. I really hope the author decides to do that someday.

The gentle development of Izzy, who learns to trust her heart and make her own choices, mirrored experiences I've had personally, which made her journey all the more inspiring. I also appreciated the detailed depiction of Brodie’s hometown, which brought the setting to life as if you were discovering it alongside Izzy. It added depth to the romance that went beyond just the characters, creating a fully immersive world. The choice to use emails and social media conversations as narrative tools was surprisingly effective. It made the interactions feel personal and immediate, capturing the way modern relationships often unfold across digital platforms. This format kept me hooked, blending the excitement of virtual connection with the warmth of in-person moments. For anyone navigating the challenges of distance, this book offers a tender portrayal of how love can thrive despite the miles. Plus, the supporting characters, like Brodie’s adorable family, add charm and hint at possible future stories, which I’d love to see explored in a sequel.
