... Read moreHey Lemon8 fam! So many of you have been curious about my journey, and I'm thrilled to share a bit more about how I navigate life as a yoga instructor, a mom of four, and someone passionate about fitness. It's definitely a juggling act, but one I wouldn't trade for anything!
Becoming a mom changes everything, right? After having my four incredible kids, my body (and my schedule!) felt completely different. That's where my “body transformation” journey really kicked in. It wasn't just about getting back into shape, but about rediscovering strength, both physically and mentally. Yoga became my anchor. It wasn't just about fancy poses; it was about finding those moments of calm amidst the beautiful chaos of motherhood. I often hear from other moms, 'How do you find the time?' My secret? Consistency over perfection, and embracing those small windows of opportunity. Sometimes it's a quick 15-minute flow while the kids are napping, other times it's an early morning session before anyone else wakes up.
I've learned to be really adaptable with my workouts. That's why having a dedicated space, even a small one, has been a game-changer. You might have seen some of my mirror selfies in my favorite athletic crop top and shorts, often taken right in my home gym setting. It doesn't have to be elaborate – just a mat, some resistance bands, and maybe a few light weights. It's about creating an environment where you can show up for yourself, even when leaving the house isn't an option. For me, it means no excuses when it comes to getting my movement in. I even keep a few handy pieces of exercise equipment nearby for quick bursts of activity throughout the day.
My 'gym fit ideas' aren't just about looking good; they're about feeling good and being comfortable enough to move. A good pair of shorts and a supportive crop top can make all the difference in motivation! It's all part of embracing the “mombod” – celebrating what our bodies can do, rather than just focusing on aesthetics.
Being a 'lover of life' for me means finding joy in the everyday, even the challenging parts. It's about self-care, sure, but also about connecting with my kids, enjoying good food, and soaking up the Texas sun (when I'm not dreaming of Ireland!). I truly believe that when we take care of ourselves, we're better equipped to take care of others. So whether you're a seasoned yogi, a new mom, or just starting your fitness journey, remember to be kind to yourself, celebrate your progress, and find what truly makes you feel alive. I'm excited to share more tips, workouts, and real-life moments with you all right here!
