Turkish meatballs
I decided to experiment a little in the kitchen a few nights back and this is what I created. I had a taste for meal balls and gravy. It was soooo good it had a hint of spice but it was not over powering the flavor was 10/10 I’m definitely keeping this recipe in rotation #easyturkey #turkeydinner #turkeymeatballs
When I first tried making Turkish meatballs using ground turkey, I was pleasantly surprised by how well the lean meat absorbed the spices. Using a seasoning blend with black pepper, Creole seasoning, and chili powder gave the meatballs a warm, inviting flavor without overwhelming the palate. Rolling the meat into small balls and cooking them on medium heat ensured they stayed moist inside while forming a slight crust outside. To elevate the dish, I added crushed tomatoes into the pan along with minced garlic to create a rich sauce. A few dollops of Greek yogurt stirred in at the end added a creamy tang that balanced the spices beautifully. Sprinkling parmesan cheese on top gave a nutty finish, while the inclusion of bay leaves and a touch of honey provided subtle aromatic sweetness. Serving the meatballs over steamed rice with a side of crunchy garlic bread and steamed broccoli turned my dinner into a satisfying, well-rounded meal. This recipe is perfect for anyone looking to enjoy a homemade Turkish-inspired dish that's flavorful but not too spicy, and it’s a great way to use healthy ground turkey. I highly recommend trying this at home and adjusting the seasoning to your taste—adding a bit more chili powder if you like a kick, or extra garlic for more aroma.
