ER Visit 🫠
The thing I dread the most about being chronically ill, is having to go into the ER because you don’t know if something new is wrong with you or if this is just your new baseline of pain. Everything came back ‘normal’ as always 🫥, but this pain is something i have never felt before in the past 5 years of dealing with everything. ER visits at this point are basically to make sure it’s not dire or life threaten at that moment. They always lead to more doctor visits and it seems never ending.
I’ve seen about six specialists and i see a metabolic specialist in a month, the ER, doctor referred me to a gastroenterologist and my primary care wants me to see an endocrinologist 🫠 Hopefully one of them will have an answer!
One thing that makes ER visits better is good nurses, i’ve had my fair share of nurses who don’t listen and honestly should just find another job, but the nurses at the ER i went to were amazing! Did my mom drive about 20 more minutes so we could go to the good ER? Yes! Why? because the ER closest to me is horrible! I used to nanny for one of the ER nurses from there and she would tell me how they were almost always hungover and how they would be passed out in a room they were supposed to be cleaning and getting ready for the next patient, which is insane to me!! like you guys have others lives in your hands!! The last time I was at that ER, they lied to me about what they were giving me and it was medicine that i told them i was allergic too!!! It’s important to make sure you go to a good ER!
also the nurse kept apologizing for it taking so long but they had about 20 traumas come in while i was there, like it’s okay you’re busy and doing your best!!
Before i had gone in I was sitting in the couch with my niece before the pain hit me and when i got home she ran up to me and gave me the biggest hug ever 🥰🥰 it was the sweetest thing 🥰🥰
