A 2022 meta-analysis by Virginia Commonwealth University (with Vanderbilt University) reviewed studies measuring resting-state brain connectivity.
Mindfulness training strengthened connections between the Default Mode Network (DMN), which is active during mind-wandering; and the Salience Network (SN), which detects what’s more important.
