Located in Collegedale, TN, just a short drive from Chattanooga, this park is an absolute delight and a must-see, especially if you're traveling with kids. We were so surprised by how much there was to do, and the best part? It's completely free! This isn't just any playground; it's a whimsical wonderland themed around the iconic Little Debbie snacks. As soon as you arrive, you're greeted by a vibrant "WELCOME TO Little Debbie PARK EST. 2023" sign, setting the tone for a truly unique experience. The kids immediately spotted the giant, colorful snack-themed statues. Imagine balancing on a huge cookie-shaped statue or lying on a cozy-looking wafer-shaped statue – it’s super Instagrammable and the kids absolutely loved climbing all over them! Our little ones couldn't get enough of the various play structures. There’s a fantastic rock climbing structure that kept them challenged, and a spinning play structure that had them laughing. It’s clear a lot of thought went into making it fun for a wide range of ages. Beyond the unique theme, the park offers practical amenities that make for a stress-free visit. There are clean restrooms and plenty of picnic tables, perfect for bringing your own snacks (maybe even some Little Debbie treats!) and enjoying a leisurely lunch. We also appreciated the ample open space, allowing kids to run freely and burn off some energy without feeling cramped. The park is beautifully maintained with green grass and mature trees, offering some welcome shade on a sunny day. We visited in the late afternoon, which was perfect as the crowds weren't too heavy and the temperature was just right. Here are a few extra tips from our visit: Don't forget sunscreen and water bottles, especially during warmer months, as kids will be running around a lot. While there are some shaded areas, much of the play equipment is in direct sun. If you're planning a longer stay in the Chattanooga area, this park makes for a fantastic half-day detour. It's a testament to the local community's spirit, as the park is a wonderful tribute to McKee Foods, the makers of Little Debbie snacks, who are headquartered nearby. It’s more than just a park; it's a sweet piece of local history and a fantastic place to create lasting family memories without spending a dime. We're already planning our next stop!
