“What if I fail?”

When I decided to fully pursue tattooing last summer, I wondered often if I would fail - if it would be yet another career path that I was kind of okay at, but never really got GOOD at. I wondered how long it would be before I admitted defeat and gave up.

I remember crying to my friend, asking her that question - what if I fail? Every time I asked her that, which was often, she responded with “what if you succeed?”

I’m not perfect at my craft yet. I still mess up, often, and there are times I leave the studio crying because I knew I should and could have done better.

But there are also days like today, when I CAN push past my former “best”. It’s a slow journey, but I’m trying very hard, and that’s what matters.
