Hey everyone! So glad you're here to connect. I wanted to share a little more about my journey and hopefully find some kindred spirits. Being a stay-at-home mom to three amazing kids, including a college-aged daughter, definitely keeps life interesting! It’s a beautiful chaos, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything, even on the days I'm juggling a million things. One of the biggest hats I wear is 'homeschool mama.' We've been homeschooling for a while now, and it’s truly been an enriching experience for our family. It allows us to tailor education to each child's needs and interests, creating a flexible schedule that fits our unique rhythm. If you're curious about homeschooling, I'd love to chat about it! It's not always easy, but seeing the kids thrive in their learning environment makes every effort worth it. My biggest tip for new homeschoolers is to find your community and remember that learning happens everywhere, not just in textbooks. Beyond the daily mom duties, something incredibly important to me is mental health. I've been on my own journey as a mental health advocate, and I truly believe in open conversations surrounding well-being. It’s okay not to be okay, and finding healthy coping mechanisms is key. For me, that often involves diving into my incredibly diverse music playlist – it’s amazing how a good song can shift your mood! From classic rock to indie pop, I’ve got it all, and music is often my go-to for a quick mental reset. I’m always looking for new ways to practice self-care and maintain balance in this busy life. It’s wild having a daughter in college now. It feels like just yesterday I was teaching her to read! The transition has been an emotional one, filled with pride and a little bit of empty-nest-syndrome practice. It’s a reminder that every stage of motherhood brings new joys and challenges. I'm really excited to build a supportive space here where we can share our experiences, lift each other up, and just be real.
