Shut up Or Glow up!
Day 3 and 4 has been hard from McDonald’s sending a $1 Big Mac promotion to my phone, from struggling from the soreness of my body due to working out, to my mental state trying to convince me that this is too hard.
But each time I feel like giving up, I SHOUT OUT LOUD:
-“Is this what you want? Do you want remain where you at?”
-“Do want to follow your family’s footsteps and have diabetes, high blood pressure, and congestive heart failure? Coming out pocket more money for medication you can’t afford and that you didn’t have to take in the first place?”
To avoid making excuses, I made sure to create alarms aligning to my daily routine/habit tracker on my iPhone and on my Alexa. I’m also learning to be kind to myself and show myself some grace. This is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!
This time around I’m making 0 excuses and you shouldn’t either. MAKE IT WORK! And join me on my journey. YOU ARE NOT ALONE! Who cares if I’m already on day 5, hop on this challenge ASAP and we can all support each other! Comment if you’re down for the cause and ready for positive change!

Hey Lemon8 fam! So, you know how we all get inspired by those incredible 'before and after glow up collage' posts? I'm right there with you! Seeing someone's journey, from where they started to their amazing transformation, is such a powerful motivator. As I'm deep into my own 100-Day Glow Up Challenge, I've been thinking a lot about how to effectively capture and create one of these for myself, and for anyone else who wants to document their progress. First things first, let's talk about the 'before' pictures. It can feel daunting, even a little vulnerable, but trust me, your future self will thank you. I set up specific iPhone alarm settings to remind myself to take a progress photo every week. The trick? Consistency! I pick the same spot in my room, use natural lighting, and wear similar workout attire, often just a simple sports bra and leggings. Don't pose to hide anything; this is an honest documentation of your starting point. Capture different angles too—front, side, and back. And remember, it's not just about the scale! Take measurements of your waist, hips, arms, and thighs. These non-scale victories are often the most motivating when you look back. Now, for tracking the journey itself: this is where my 100 DAY GLOW UP CHALLENGE habit tracker comes in clutch. It's not just about hitting the gym; it's a holistic glow up. Of course, my workouts are a huge part of it. My Apple Watch is a game-changer for monitoring my sessions. I can see my calories burned, like that day I hit 774 calories, or another time I burned 340 calories in 39:51 while covering 2.02 miles. Seeing those numbers helps me push harder. But beyond the gym, I'm tracking my water intake, making sure I hit my daily goal, and prioritizing my self-care routines. I've even started journaling and listening to podcasts daily for mental growth – these are crucial for a truly comprehensive glow up. When it comes to actually creating your 'before after glow up collage', it's simpler than you might think. Once you have a collection of consistent progress photos, you can use any free collage app on your phone. Pick your favorite 'before' shot and pair it with a recent 'after' photo. But don't limit yourself to just physical changes! Consider adding a screenshot of a week's worth of completed tasks from your habit tracker, or a powerful quote from your journal that reflects your mindset shift. It’s about telling your entire transformation story, not just what you see in the mirror. You could even incorporate elements from your fashion posts or blogging if those are part of your journey. This isn't just about looking good; it’s about feeling good, building discipline, and creating a healthier, happier you. The original article talks about overcoming those tough moments, like resisting a $1 Big Mac or pushing through body soreness. Documenting your journey, even on days 3 and 4 when it feels impossible, provides tangible proof of your resilience. So, start capturing your journey now. Your future self will be incredibly proud of the 'before after glow up collage' you create, filled with personal triumphs and undeniable progress. Who's ready to start their own visual transformation story?
