🍎 Teachers, My Morning School Routine Starts NOW 🌸

I’m not waiting until orientation to fix my sleep schedule. 🍎✨ This week I’m following my morning routine exactly as planned so my body isn’t in shock when school starts. I even use my iPhone alarm app as a free habit tracker with reminders for every step of my morning. My goal? Less stress, more energy, and walking into orientation, Meet the Teacher Night, and Back-to-School Night already prepared.

From my own experience, setting an early wake-up time around 4:50 to 5:00 AM allowed me to enjoy quiet moments before the day gets hectic. I found that using my iPhone alarm not just to wake me, but also as a habit tracker with reminders for each step, helped keep me on track and accountable every day. Incorporating meditation, stretching, and a light workout early in the morning not only wakes the body but also sharpens focus and reduces daily anxiety. For me, these activities became crucial in avoiding burnout, especially during busy school weeks. Also, pairing these with practical tasks like setting out my work bag, filling up on water with electrolytes, and listening to business or motivational podcasts while doing skincare boosted my productivity and positivity. Don’t underestimate the power of a well-prepared breakfast and packing lunch ahead of time. This quick organizational step saved a lot of stress around mealtime. Listening to news or a religious podcast helped me stay informed and centered simultaneously. Lastly, finishing the routine by setting intentions for the day, doing makeup and hair, and dressing professionally made me feel confident and ready to meet my students and colleagues. A little preparation in the morning truly set the tone for a peaceful, successful week ahead. For any teacher looking to start their school year strong, gradually adjusting your sleep schedule and breaking down your morning into manageable, purposeful parts can lead to less stress and sustained energy throughout the day.
