Your iPhone camera is actually incredible once you get the right settings in there!

Here’s what I’m using on my iPhone 15 Pro Max:

📲 4K at 24fps (this is where the cinematic magic happens)

📲 1080p slow-mo at 120fps (for those smooth slo-mo videos)

📲 Grid lines turned ON (composition is everything, trust me)

📲 If you’ve got cinematic mode available, 4K at 24fps

Oh, and one more thing I forgot to mention during the video: I’m recording everything in “most compatible” format so the footage is easy to work with in editing.

Last couple of pointers:

✨ Don’t forget to wipe your lens before recording

✨ drop your exposure just a tad to make your footage POP by holding on the screen and pulling down

Your phone is powerful enough to create stunning content. It’s all about what you do with it!

Now go create something, cousin! 🧡

... Read moreUsing your iPhone 15 Pro Max for video recording can truly elevate your content if you take full advantage of its advanced features. Beyond the recommended 4K at 24fps and 1080p slow motion at 120fps settings, I found that activating the grid lines along with the level feature really helps maintain well-composed and balanced shots. Composition is crucial in storytelling, and having these visual aids on-screen ensures your footage isn't crooked or off-center. An often overlooked tip is to lock your white balance before filming, which prevents unwanted shifts in color during your shoot. The iPhone's cinematic mode, especially at 4K 24fps, offers impressive depth of field effects that look professional and cinematic, so be sure to explore this mode for dramatic storytelling. Recording in 'most compatible' format also makes post-editing straightforward, preventing compatibility hassles with editing software. Additionally, keep your lens clean – a simple wipe can make a noticeable difference in clarity. Slightly lowering your exposure by tapping and dragging down on the screen can make colors pop and avoid overexposure, giving your video a polished look. Finally, try experimenting with different frame rates depending on the scene's lighting and movement; for example, 60fps slow-mo for faster action or 24fps for that classic film feel. Your iPhone is a powerful creative tool, and mastering these settings can help you produce high-quality, captivating video content with ease. Now grab your phone, explore these settings, and create something amazing!
