Jumping into the creative space feeling half prepared, allowed me to work with brands I never imagined working with, generate an additional source of income, and meet some amazing business owners and creators and it was ALL because I decided that I would have thee audacity AND trust God through it all!
If you have been sitting on your talent, that pull to share a message, or just be creative, you just have to DO IT, cousin!
If there’s one thing I learned is that there’s no such thing as “being ready” in this space…

Starting out in the creative space can feel daunting, especially when you’re waiting to feel perfectly ready. I used to believe that I needed to have everything figured out before taking that first step. But, from my experience, that moment of hesitation only holds you back from opportunities you might never have imagined. When I finally decided to dive in, even though I felt only half-prepared, everything started to change. I found myself collaborating with brands I previously thought were out of reach, which not only boosted my confidence but also created a valuable source of additional income. One of the biggest surprises was the connections I made. Engaging with fellow creators and business owners opened new doors and enriched my journey in ways I hadn’t expected. The creative community is incredibly supportive, and when you show up authentically, people notice. I also experimented with hosting my first content creation workshop, which was nerve-wracking but rewarding. Despite initial worries about awkward moments or not replicating the energy of in-person workshops, the experience turned out to be deeply fulfilling. Watching attendees have those "aha" moments—even through a screen—reminded me how impactful sharing your creativity can be. From this, I learned an essential truth: there is no perfect moment to start. Waiting to feel completely ready often means waiting forever. Instead, trust your passion and take action, even if you feel unsure. Audacity combined with faith—whether in yourself, your vision, or a higher power—can propel you forward. If you resonate with feeling stuck or hesitant, my advice is simple—just start. Whether it’s sharing your art, launching a project, or speaking up about your ideas, doing something small today builds momentum for bigger things tomorrow. Remember, creativity thrives when you let go of doubt and embrace the journey as it unfolds.
