Before going out and buying that camera, I highly suggest you master creating content with your phone first!
I film 90% of brand partnerships and UGC content with my iPhone 15 pro max.
and 10 times out of 10 my content comes out, professional, crisp, and exactly what the brand asked for.

From my personal experience as a content creator, mastering your iPhone's camera settings can truly elevate your output without investing in expensive equipment. I prefer shooting 90% of my brand collaborations using the iPhone 15 Pro Max because it offers incredible video quality combined with ease of use. One great tip is to keep HDR Video off when filming 4K at 24 fps or 60 fps; this prevents unexpected color shifts and helps maintain a cinematic look, especially for everyday content or action shots. Activating the grid and level features is crucial—I always keep these turned on to ensure perfectly aligned shots and balanced composition without the need for editing later. A setting that many overlook is the 'Format' under Camera Capture. Choosing 'Most Compatible' saves footage in JPEG or H.264 formats, which are widely supported and easier to edit than HEIF/HEVC formats. Additionally, setting photo capture to 24MP allows you to retain high-resolution images without sacrificing file size, which is ideal for UGC content. Experimenting with frame rates is also key. Shooting at 4K 24fps gives that film-style aesthetic, while 4K at 60fps is excellent for smooth slow-motion sequences, perfect for travel or real estate videos. To keep your videos stable, rely on the iPhone’s built-in enhanced stabilization but remember that certain modes like Action Mode adjust stabilization according to light conditions for the best results. Lastly, don’t ignore small but impactful features like the AE/AF Lock during filming. Locking exposure and focus prevents your camera from constantly shifting during a shot, creating a professional and polished video. By mastering these settings, you'll be able to produce professional-grade content straight from your phone, saving time and resources. This approach has worked exceptionally well for me, and I’m confident it can help other creators deliver exactly what brands are looking for.
