This book is a definition of, “He waited too long”. I love a story where a woman finds better than the crud she’s been fed. For years at that. I know PEOPLE LOVE TO JUDGE a woman for “staying too long” but trust me when I tell you love will have you putting up with crazy stuff if you see more of who that man “could be” versus who he actually is. Just be grateful it’s not you.
Granted these are books, I still enjoy a believable story. This could easily be anyone’s life. It always amazes me how men change for that (one) woman in books (& in life). Giving her the world & so much more not only b/c she deserves it but that’s what HE WANTS TO DO FOR HER. I’m not gonna lie I didn’t think Kaylee would walk at first. But when you’ve had enough, you’ve had enough. If I say anymore I’ll probably give it all away.
I read this one in December 2024.
❣️Take care of yourself, okay. YOU have to be good for you first before you show up for anyone else🫂❣️.
PEACE. PEACE.✨

The story under review encapsulates the emotional struggle of a woman who has endured a long-term relationship filled with challenges. It depicts how love can sometimes blind us to the reality of our situations, forcing us to overlook red flags in hopes of potential change. This narrative resonates widely, as many can relate to the complexities of love and the weight of societal judgments regarding relationship timelines. In literature, these transformations often symbolize personal growth, as characters learn to prioritize their own well-being. Readers are encouraged not only to empathize with the protagonist's journey but also to recognize the value of self-care, as highlighted in the poignant reminder that one must be good to oneself before being able to support others. Books with such relatable themes of emotional resilience and self-empowerment continue to spark discussions, especially among avid readers looking for meaningful connections to their own experiences. The book also challenges the notion that one must stay in unsatisfactory circumstances due to fear of judgment, delivering a strong message about self-worth. Such stories ultimately inspire readers to embrace change and seek relationships that provide mutual respect and growth. They validate the importance of personal happiness and encourage individuals to strive for their genuine aspirations, leaving behind what no longer serves them. In a world where love is often idealized, this narrative offers a refreshing take on the realities of human relationships.
