✨✨✨✨✨/5

I read this one in 2023 but it was sooooo good it’s in my top 5.

🚨SPOILERS AHEAD SO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK🚨

To be Janelle with Rome or to just have a Rome😩 What girl doesn’t want a man that’s going to stand by her & defend her till the end? No matter who it’s against? That’s the good good though how bout this …

Imagine your sister marrying your ex? EXACTLY! You no longer having feelings for him shouldn’t matter b/c it’s principle & there are some things you just don’t do. But to also be mistreated like you did something. Janelle took all she could until she couldn’t & I truly feel that if it weren’t for Rome she wouldn’t have ever stood up for herself. I know it’s a book but hell I’m grateful for Rome. Her mom & sister are trash if you ask me. Their true feelings finally being revealed only made things worse & both me & Janelle thought so.

This book gave me confirmation on the notion that sometimes it’s those closest to you that really can’t stand you & pray on your downfall. And it’s not even b/c of something you did to them it’s their own jealousy &/or something they done made up in their minds. But Amerie (the sister) really wasn’t quiet about it. She made it a point to belittle Janelle every chance she got. But honestly I’m sick of her … back to Rome.

Rome gave her what she wanted & probably didn’t know she needed. I love reading - & hearing - about men who intentionally care for their woman. Of course, in return that woman is going to return the love & care you give her 10 times more. He’s damn near the ideal guy & there’s a plus. Wait for it …

He not only read books with her but got into the series & took her to … nvm y’all just gone have to read it. But he damn sure went the extra mile before they were official. That’s how you do it. I mean he did always have feelings for her but that’s beside the point. I don’t know what’s going on with people today but they don’t try in the talking stage & for many it gets worse once it’s official. So, if you find you a Rome - or he finds you - KEEP HIM.

PEACE. PEACE.✨
