✨✨✨✨✨/5
NYOMI IRRITATED THE EVERLASTING FUCK OUT OF ME. Yes, I gave the book 5 stars cause the book didn’t irritate me, her ass did.
She kept talking about how she “wants to be left alone” & “no man can have her heart” & wanted to avoid anything along the lines of falling for someone. Yet, she stayed on dates … it wasn’t making sense. If you need to heal, take the time to do so. I don’t what exactly she was doing. I guess that was her way of healing🤷🏽♀️. It confused me so much. GAHLEE!
Keon, I’m sorry *clears throat* Knuck. I like you. I like that he didn’t give up although half of me was hoping that he would’ve moved on. The was Keon showed up & showed out from the very beginning… THAT’S A MAN. He made his intentions clear from jump & stood on them.
It was the chase. The not giving up. The making sense of things. The pulling up no matter when or where & ultimately making sure that Nyomi was okay above all. That man wanted love & he didn’t stop until he got it.
This book is a fast-paced romance novella. So, if you’re into that I’d recommend this one for you.
❣️I hope you’re doing well🫂.

Reading fast-paced romance novellas like this one offers an intriguing insight into the complexities of relationships, especially when healing from past emotional wounds is involved. Nyomi’s conflicting behavior—wanting to be alone yet continuing to go on dates—reflects a very human experience of trying to move forward despite internal struggles. From personal experience, I find that characters who show vulnerability and imperfection make a story truly relatable and impactful. Keon’s persistence and clear intentions stand out as a breath of fresh air in modern romance narratives. His dedication reminds me of how important consistency and honesty are in building trust. It’s not about grand gestures but about showing up when it matters the most, which resonates deeply with many readers looking for authenticity in love stories. This novella’s brisk pace keeps the tension alive without dragging out unnecessary drama, making it perfect for readers who enjoy a quick yet meaningful romantic journey. The emotional push and pull between Nyomi and Keon thoughtfully explores themes of healing, patience, and the challenges of opening one’s heart again. If you’re a fan of contemporary romance that doesn’t shy away from addressing real emotional struggles, this story is a great pick. It also highlights why taking time to heal is crucial before diving into new relationships, a lesson many can relate to. Overall, this novella is not just about the romance but about personal growth and resilience in matters of the heart.
