What belt measurements do you provide?

Resellers who sell belts—what measurements do you include in your listings?

I get questions all the time asking for the distance from the beginning of the belt to the first hole and the last hole.

To cut down on buyer questions—and keep myself from having to pull belts back out of inventory—I’ve started including:

* Beginning of belt to first hole

* Beginning of belt to last hole

* Belt width

* Total length, not including the buckle

All measurements begin where the belt strap starts and do not include the buckle.

... Read moreAs someone who's resold belts for a while, I found that including detailed measurements really helps streamline sales and reduce back-and-forth with buyers. From personal experience, the most helpful measurements to include are: * The length from the start of the belt strap to the first hole — this helps buyers know the smallest waist size the belt fits. * The length from the start of the belt strap to the last hole — this indicates the largest waist size. * The total length of the belt strap, excluding the buckle. * The belt width, since this affects style and compatibility with different pants. One tip is to always clarify that all measurements exclude the buckle and start from the point where the strap begins, not the buckle itself. This avoids confusion because some belts have bulky buckles that add extra length when worn. I also find it useful to measure each hole's position, especially if the belt has many holes spaced unevenly. This can help buyers understand the adjustability range better. When listing your belts, adding these precise measurements not only reduces repetitive questions but also builds buyer trust since they perceive your listings as transparent and thorough. Overall, clear and consistent measurement details can differentiate your listings from others and lead to faster sales with fewer returns.
