... Read moreI absolutely adore LongHorn Steakhouse! Every visit feels like a special occasion, and honestly, there's no reason their food needs to be that delicious, but I'm certainly not complaining! If you're planning a visit, I wanted to share some of my personal favorites and tips to make your experience even better.
Let's kick things off with appetizers. You have to try their Orange-Glazed Chicken Bites. They're perfectly tender with just the right amount of tang and sweetness – seriously addictive. Another go-to for me is their classic Spinach Dip with Tortilla Chips. It's creamy, cheesy, and just perfect for sharing while you wait for your main course. Exploring the LongHorn appetizers menu is always a treat, and I find they have something for everyone, whether you like something light or want to dive straight into comfort food.
When it comes to the main event, the choices are endless. For something lighter but still packed with flavor, the 7 Pepper Sirloin Salad is fantastic. It’s got that signature LongHorn spice and freshness. Of course, you can't go wrong with their steaks, but I’ve also been impressed by other options like their lamb chops – cooked to perfection! And for those who love a hearty, cheesy dish, I've had some fantastic cheesy chicken or fish options there that are incredibly satisfying.
Now, for the sides – this is where LongHorn truly shines for me. The Loaded Baked Potato is legendary, piled high with cheese, sour cream, bacon, and green onions. It's a meal in itself! If you haven't tried their Parmesan Crusted Fries, you're missing out. They're crispy, garlicky, and utterly delicious. I also love their mashed potatoes topped with cheese and bacon, and their cheesy broccoli is a surprisingly tasty way to get some greens in. Don't forget the sweet potato for a different taste profile, or a refreshing side salad to round out your meal!
To wash it all down, a Texas Margarita is always a great choice. They make a mean one, and there’s nothing quite like sipping a colorful cocktail in a margarita glass after a long week. And if you still have room after all that, the Strawberry Shortcake is the perfect sweet ending. It's fresh, creamy, and beautifully presented.
Beyond the food, the atmosphere at LongHorn is always welcoming. You can often spot their distinctive restaurant exterior sign and stone facade, which really sets the tone. Before you head out, it's always a good idea to check the specific LongHorn hours for your location, whether you're visiting a LongHorn Steakhouse in Odessa or Mansfield, or anywhere else. Looking at the LongHorn Steakhouse menu online beforehand is also super helpful to plan your feast. Trust me, a visit to LongHorn is always a good idea!
