I love Edgar

Hey Brawlers! You know that rush when you pick a brawler you think you can play, maybe even your 'secret main that you don't even know to use' effectively? Well, Edgar often feels like that! He's a fan favorite, but mastering him takes more than just spamming his super. Today, I'm diving deep into how I've learned to truly unleash Edgar's power in Brawl Stars, especially in modes like BRAWL BALL where scoring two goals to win is everything! How to Play Edgar: Mastering the Jump Attack Edgar's signature move is his Super, which allows him to jump over obstacles and gain a temporary speed boost. The key to successful Edgar gameplay isn't just jumping in, but knowing when and who to jump on. I've found that patience is crucial. Don't waste your jump on tanks unless you have backup or know you can secure the kill. Instead, aim for squishier targets like throwers or sharpshooters who are often alone. Once you land, auto-aim until your target is down, then quickly assess if you can retreat or continue the assault. His passive healing is your best friend after an engagement, so use it wisely to recover health without constantly running back to spawn. Best Edgar Builds: Gadgets, Star Powers & Gears Choosing the right build can significantly impact your performance. For gadgets, I almost always go with Hardcore, which grants him a shield. This is a lifesaver, especially when you jump into a crowd, giving you that extra moment to take down a high-priority target. While 'Let's Fly' can be fun for faster Supers, Hardcore generally offers more survivability. For Star Powers, Fisticuffs is my go-to. The extra healing per punch makes him incredibly difficult to take down in close-range combat, turning him into a true brawler. 'Sucker Punch' is decent for burst, but Fisticuffs provides sustained power. Regarding gears, I recommend Damage Gear to maximize his burst potential after landing his Super. This ensures he can eliminate targets quickly. For the second gear, it's often a toss-up between Speed Gear (especially on bushy maps) or Health Gear for general survivability. If you’re playing aggressive and need to close gaps or escape, Speed Gear is fantastic. If you find yourself dying too quickly, Health Gear can provide that buffer. Is Edgar Good? Strengths, Weaknesses & Tips Edgar can be incredibly strong in the right hands and against the right compositions. His high burst damage and self-healing make him a nightmare for squishy brawlers. He excels in modes like Showdown and Brawl Ball, where his ability to quickly eliminate key targets or score goals is invaluable. However, he has significant weaknesses: extremely low health, and he's highly vulnerable when his Super is on cooldown. Strong crowd control brawlers like Shelly, Griff, or Buzz can easily counter him. My top tip: don't be afraid to retreat! Sometimes, jumping in for a trade isn't worth it. Recharge your Super, heal up, and find a better opportunity. Think of yourself as an 'insano goloso' – crazy greedy for kills, but smart about when and how to get them. Practice makes perfect, and with these tips, you'll be well on your way to mastering Edgar and making him your go-to brawler, even if he started as your 'main secreto que no sabes usar'! Good luck, and happy brawling!
