Collection III 3 with no context

I started designing collection 3 this past October. At the beginning, I had so many ideas for it and what it is now is so different. Taking such long breaks over the past couple of months due to my health and other reasons really made me miss working at Iris. In the stillness of the break, I realized that I have never taken a moment to fully appreciate everything that I’ve created – to fully realize that all the little ideas that once lived exclusively in my head are now real physical items. To make things even better, there are now people who can see them too – people who want them. I originally planned about 9 to 10 new silhouettes for collection 3. As I began making the pieces, nothing felt right. I decided to give the pieces I have already created a little more time to shine before bringing in new ones. I am still going to call it collection three, but it definitely does not look like what I once thought it would. I am in love with the few pieces that did make it out of my sketchbook and I cannot wait to share them with you. :)

... Read moreAs someone who has followed the evolution of fashion brands and collections closely, I find the story of Collection III truly inspiring. The journey from many initial sketches and concepts to a more refined and heartfelt final set of pieces is something many creatives can relate to. Taking breaks, whether due to health or personal reasons, can often feel like lost time, but this pause has allowed the designer to reconnect deeply with their work and truly appreciate the tangible realities born from once abstract ideas. This collection's evolution highlights the importance of not rushing the creative process. Sometimes, existing designs deserve more time to mature and shine rather than constantly pushing out newer creations. It reflects a mindful approach to fashion design, where quality and meaningfulness take precedence over quantity. This can resonate with any creative in various fields who might feel pressured to produce continuously. Moreover, the anticipation of sharing newly brought-to-life pieces with an audience who values and wants these designs shows a beautiful connection between creator and consumer. It reminds me of my own experiences with fashion, where understanding the story behind a collection adds sentimental value to the items I wear. Collection III’s blend of style inspiration (#styleinspo), fashion motivation (#fashioninspo), and being part of a clothing brand’s journey (#clothingbrand) makes it relatable and engaging to anyone interested in fashion or design evolution. For those looking forward to the launch, this behind-the-scenes insight builds an emotional connection and appreciation not only for the final collection but also for the process and resilience involved. It’s a great reminder that sometimes the best creations emerge when we embrace patience, reflect on our journey, and allow our ideas to mature fully before sharing them with the world.
