The NO Car Garage Normality!

This is what my husband has done to our 2 Car, or should I say NO Car Garage! I wasn't expecting it to be that bad, but it is and this is the norm, all of our cars in the driveway because he has filled the garage to the brim with all his trash finds, and, tools, and such. As I look around my neighborhood I have noticed that almost all of the homes around me must suffer this same issue because instead of using their garages they too are parked in the driveway with all of their vehicles. So this is a norm for a lot of people and it's ok. It's my husband's room after all so he can do with it what he pleases, and if he likes it being a mess so be it. I would eventually like to at least park one of our cars in the garage though. Oh well for now I will embrace the normality of having a NO Car Garage !
The phenomenon of having a NO Car Garage is not uncommon, as many homeowners struggle to utilize their garage spaces for their intended purpose. Instead, garages often turn into storage spaces filled with tools, old equipment, and miscellaneous items, pushing cars out into driveways. This article explores the realities of this situation and how it reflects a broader societal trend where utilizing driveways rather than garages has become the norm. In many communities, this trend may stem from various factors including limited storage solutions and the tendency to accumulate possessions over time. As families grow or hobbies evolve, items can quickly fill up garage spaces, leading to a scenario where cars are parked outside. It often becomes a compromise within families, where one member's attachment to their clutter becomes accepted by others. Further, discussions around this topic reveal shared experiences among neighbors. Many find solace in knowing they are not alone in this predicament, which fosters a sense of community. Social media platforms often highlight these relatable moments, showing photos of messy garages with light-hearted captions that resonate with countless others. To mitigate this issue, some families choose to undertake decluttering projects, aiming to clear out their garage spaces for a more functional use. Others may embrace the chaos, finding ways to work around it while laughing at their common experiences. Ultimately, the NO Car Garage serves as a reflection of our lifestyles, making it a truly relatable topic that many can identify with.

ive noticed the alot of times when people have huge garages they cant use is because their house has like no storage.. people also have waay to much stuff ontop of it, but im sorry 1-2 closets (that arent in bedrooms) is not enough. but its because in newer builds (like 2005-now) builders optimize the sqft to have the least amount of walls and biggest area for rooms. there’s no where to put a closet anymore. my parents house (1800’s) has a walk up attic (with closets in it), a whole storage room in the garage, a garage (that cant be used for a car due to structural reasons), and tons of small closets. my house (2003) has 1 closet, and 1 built in linen cupboard. (neither including bedroom closets), and a 2 car garage.. its sad.
