Late post — eastern roadtrip day 9 ❄️🏔️
We spent the day at Hunter Mountain attempting to snowboard… emphasis on attempting 😂 I busted my ass more times than I can count, but honestly it was such a fun experience and totally worth it. After surviving the slopes, we headed toward Philly and I finally had my first ever Philly cheesesteak—10/10 way to end the day. #SummerRoadTrip #HunterMountain #SnowboardingFail #PhillyCheesesteak #TravelDiaries
Embarking on a road trip through the eastern US offers a mix of thrilling outdoor activities and iconic culinary experiences. My attempt at snowboarding at Hunter Mountain was a true test of resilience and fun. Despite numerous falls, I quickly learned that persistence is key when trying a new sport. I would recommend newcomers to take a lesson first or at least start on the beginner slopes to build confidence before hitting more challenging runs. Hunter Mountain itself is a fantastic destination, not just for winter sports, but also for the stunning mountain views and friendly atmosphere. When you visit, be sure to dress warmly in layers and wear proper snowboarding gear to stay comfortable. After an action-packed day, a trip to Philadelphia is a perfect way to switch gears. The city is famous for its cheesesteaks, and trying one firsthand was a highlight of my journey. I opted for a classic Philly cheesesteak loaded with melted cheese and sautéed onions—an indulgence worth every bite. If you're planning a similar road trip, I recommend pacing your activities and allowing flexibility for spontaneous stops, like exploring quaint towns or local eateries along the way. Keep a travel journal or take photos to capture your unique memories. Overall, this day reminded me that travel is about embracing new challenges and savoring delicious moments, making every experience a story worth sharing.
