New chapter…
When i first joined Lemon8, i had just embarked on a journey to brand myself on social media as hard as many of my favorite influencers did.
Not to become an influencer, no.. but to attract a supportive engaging community.
I eventually decided i did not have time to stress about an "aesthetic" and "finding my target audience" and blase blase blady blah. Like christ, i just want to be myself and if you dont like it fuck off? I spent enough time being "picture perfect" on IG and wondering how to get more followers and likes. Find myself comparing myself to other women's pages, ultimately being my own harshest critic.
So far, for a person like myself who enjoys writing and general literature, i have found Lemon8 to be quite comforting, as the social media standards are entirely different from the norm. Feels like i can actually take a load off here, and decompress with whom ever may be my audience. I see alot of people complaining about the engagement, no likes, etc etc. Personally.. i could careless. I plan on treating lemon8 going forward as journal. May whatever i post attract "my people" or anyone who feels as though we have anything in common!
I look forward to creating an safe space here on my page, where i can share the positive vibes, and maybe even be a bit vulnerable from time to time.
I have found myself in a new chapter of my life. A chapter i hope to share more about in the near future.
