“Rules” in Witchcraft that Witches don’t want to hear about:
🧹 3 Fold Rule / Harm None - Any harm done by a witch will come back to them three times, this is a Wiccan rule, and we are not all Wiccan ✅
🧹 Your first tarot deck has to be a gift✅
🧹 Stop saying “black magic” because this is just a way to shame marginalized people and stop them from using/practicing baneful magic✅
🧹 Witches are not all love and light please stop saying that✅
🧹 Karma is from Hinduism and it happens in your next life - we’re not worried about it✅
🧹 You can use almost anything to cast a spell, if it works, it works, stop judging people. I have used many things to cast a spell, including a dirty diaper, among other unsavory things. Ostracize people who lack access to certain ingredients or tools. ✅
🧹 That you have to be initiated by another witch. Initiate yourself. ✅
🧹 You can’t use the same herbs you use in witchcraft to cook your meals. Yes you can, stop saying that✅
🧹 That you’re not a real witch, unless you are part of a coven ✅
🧹 That witches shouldn’t get paid for their services✅
🧹 That you’re not supposed to blow out your candles ✅
🧹 Witch is only a title for women. Stop saying that! ✅

Access to specialized tools or rare ingredients shouldn’t be a barrier to practicing magic. Finally, respecting witches’ labor by accepting payment for their services breaks old taboos and acknowledges the value of their time and skill.
