✨prism prompt check-in✨

if you haven't had a chance to exercise this weekly prism prompt on WONDERMENT, there's still time!

has life dulled your sense of amazement? it’s easy to grow numb to the beauty that’s around us when busyness, disappointment, or weariness settle in.

but wonderment—that awe-inspired feeling of amazement and admiration—is a powerful antidote. it reawakens our hearts to the mystery and majesty of God, reminding us that He still moves in ways that stir the soul and surprise us with His goodness.

scripture assures us that, in God‘s presence there is fullness of joy; and at His right hand are pleasures forevermore (psalm 16:11).

this is what wonder leads us to—a posture of recognizing God’s nature and nearness. it opens our eyes to beauty we’d otherwise overlook and draws us closer to the One who delights in revealing Himself.

in the rush of life, even daughters of God can miss the sacred moments all around them. knowing that, the Father offers a new opportunity each morning—to slow down just enough to catch them.

whether it's the golden hue of a sunrise, the quiet answer to a whispered prayer, or the laughter of someone you love—these glimpses of God’s creativity and kindness are everywhere. and they’re invitations for us to experience wonderment.

before you move on, take a moment and ask yourself: what would it look like to embrace wonder this week? start small. make space each day to pause and notice one thing beautiful—something you might’ve overlooked yesterday. maybe it’s the soft light breaking through your window, the quiet stillness that follows a prayer, or the warmth of a shared smile.

then, thank Holy Spirit for using that moment to ignite your joy, shift your perspective, and awaken you to the nearness of God again. His desire is to rekindle celebration in your moment-by-moment life—as a fruit of your relationship with Him, the God of infinite wonder.

... Read moreWonderment is more than just a fleeting feeling of awe; it's a spiritual practice that invites us to pause and rediscover the beauty and majesty permeating our lives. This feeling awakens our hearts to the mystery and goodness of God, helping us see beyond routine and weariness. In today’s fast-paced world, many find their sense of amazement dulled by constant busyness, disappointment, or stress, making it easy to overlook sacred moments of grace. However, allowing ourselves to experience wonderment gently shifts our perspective, enabling us to slow down and savor the small delights around us. For example, noticing the golden hue of a sunrise or the quiet stillness following prayer can be powerful reminders of God's nearness and kindness. Wonderment helps transform ordinary experiences into glimpses of divine creativity and love. This practice aligns with scripture, such as Psalm 16:11, which assures us of fullness of joy in God’s presence and pleasures forevermore at His right hand. These words reassure us that encountering wonder is a fruit of our relationship with God and a source of ongoing celebration in everyday life. To cultivate wonderment, start by intentionally making space each day to observe something beautiful you might normally overlook. It could be the soft light filtering through a window, the laughter shared with a loved one, or the subtle answers to whispered prayers. Taking a moment to thank the Holy Spirit for igniting joy within us reinforces this new awareness and encourages a posture of gratitude. Moreover, wonderment connects us to a deeper recognition of God’s nature and nearness, reinforcing that He is actively working in ways that surprise and delight us. This renewed attention can reduce weariness and disappointment, replacing them with curiosity, hope, and admiration. It brings vitality back into our spiritual walk, reminding us that God delights in revealing Himself through everyday moments. Incorporating wonderment into your weekly routine is both a gentle invitation and a powerful antidote to spiritual dullness. By embracing it, you not only enrich your spiritual life but also cultivate joy that permeates all aspects of your daily experience. Wonderment turns ordinary instances into sacred opportunities, drawing you closer to the infinite wonder of God and helping you live with a refreshed, vibrant heart.
