who told you you couldn’t? it’s a question we believe Jesus is asking women all over the world.
because somewhere along the way, many of us quietly surrendered our voice, our power, or our permission to act—waiting for someone else to say, “go.”
but according to the gospel, authority isn’t something we wait for. it’s something we already carry. Jesus didn’t just save us—He commissioned us.
“I have given you authority…” (luke 10:19)
He gives out of His own possession. it’s an authority that isn’t always loud or forceful, but one that shows steady conviction, is heard in truth spoken with grace, and is seen in Spirit-led decisions and bold, obedient steps—even when it feels uncomfortable.
it’s an authority that causes everything in the spirit realm to tremble—while hoping you will underestimate or doubt its existence. the enemy wants you second-guessing your ability to act. but Jesus says: move forward with the authority you’ve already been given.
before getting up and running into the rest of your day, ask yourself:
where have i been waiting for permission? and what would it look like to stop striving and start moving from a place of true spiritual confidence?
take a moment with Jesus. write out the areas where you want to walk in greater authority. invite His truth to replace fear, hesitation, or doubt. then, go forward boldly and freely—no striving, no comparison. this authority isn’t linked to your performance, but to your position in Christ. you’ve already been entrusted. now walk like it.

From personal experience, embracing the authority granted by Christ has been transformative in living with greater confidence and purpose. Many times, I found myself hesitating or waiting for external approval before taking spiritual or life-changing steps. It empowers believers to overcome internal doubts and external spiritual challenges. When we walk in this God-given authority, the spiritual realm shifts in response, moving obstacles and opposition. A key practice that helped me grow was journaling areas where I felt limited or fearful, consciously inviting Jesus to replace those emotions with truth and grace. This regular check-in nurtured my spiritual confidence and helped me take bold steps without striving or comparing myself to others. The authority we carry stems not from our performance but from our identity in Christ. Recognizing this helped me stop second-guessing and start acting with genuine freedom. I encourage anyone feeling stuck or hesitant to pause and ask: "Where am I waiting for permission to move?" and "How would my life change if I acted from true spiritual authority today?" The answer can lead to a life of empowered faith and purposeful action, grounded in the unshakable truth that God’s authority flows through us by His commission. By embracing this truth, we can live not as powerless or passive individuals but as commissioned followers who act boldly and confidently, impacting both our lives and the world around us.
