Lord, use me publicly… but first, search me privately.
Description / post caption:
“Lord, send me to the nations”…
while I’ve never truly shared You with my neighbor.
“Lord, increase my platform”…
because sitting in Your presence no longer feels enough.
“Lord, I want to hear Your voice”…
while my Bible stays closed most of the week.
“Lord, remove my anxiety”…
while I consume more reels than Scripture.
“Lord, use me publicly”…
while I only seek You when people are watching.
“Lord, let me carry Your power”…
but I don’t want to carry my cross.
“Lord, let me make Your name known”…
when deep down, too often, I still want mine to be.
And yet… here’s the beautiful part:
God was never fooled.
He saw every hidden motive.
Every distracted prayer.
Every moment we looked spiritual on the outside while feeling distant on the inside.
And He still says:
“Come closer.”
Not “perform better.”
Not “pretend harder.”
Not “clean yourself up first.”
Just… come.
The secret place still matters.
The Bible still matters.
Obedience still matters.
The neighbor next door still matters.
The cross still matters.
God isn’t looking for polished platforms.
He’s looking for surrendered hearts.
And the same God who sees behind the captions, the applause, and the appearance…
is still merciful enough to call us deeper.
