Start Over, Even If It Hurts🎀

Hey y’all.

So this is my new apartment… and as you can see, there’s nothing in here yet.

No couch.

No beds set up.

No kitchen table.

Just me, my three kids, and a lot of empty space.

This is what starting over actually looks like.

I’m 28, a mom of three, and I made the decision to leave what was familiar and step into the unknown. And I won’t lie, I’m scared. Walking into an empty apartment hits different. It’s quiet. It’s heavy. It makes you question everything.

But I did it anyway.

Because peace was more important than comfort.

Because my kids deserve a safe place, even if it’s not fully furnished yet.

Because sometimes you have to choose stability before it looks pretty.

Right now, all we have are plans. Mattresses on the floor. A few bags. Big dreams. And faith that this space will turn into a home.

This apartment isn’t empty to me. It’s full of possibility. It’s a fresh start. It’s proof that I chose us.

I’m building from the ground up. New routines. New habits. New boundaries. A new version of me.

And if you’re watching this and you’re also scared but moving forward anyway, I want you to know something. You don’t need to have it all together to begin. You just need the courage to take the first step.

This is day one.

This is home.

And we’re going to be okay.

... Read moreStarting over can be one of the most challenging yet rewarding experiences anyone can face. When you find yourself in an empty apartment with just a few mattresses and bags, it’s normal to feel overwhelmed and uncertain. However, as many brave parents and individuals have learned, this emptiness is not just a symbol of loss but also a powerful canvas of fresh possibilities and hope. The phrase "Fresh Start Even When It Hurts" truly captures the essence of this emotional journey. It reminds us that sometimes, rebuilding life requires embracing discomfort and uncertainty before comfort and happiness arrive. Choosing peace over familiar comfort is a courageous step toward creating a safer, more stable environment for yourself and your family. Many moms taking this step prioritize safety and stability for their children above all else. While the apartment might not be fully furnished yet, the intention behind it is clear: to build a new life grounded in love and protection. This often means laying down new routines, setting boundaries, and developing healthier habits that contribute to long-term well-being. If you’re starting over and feel scared, remember that these feelings are natural. What matters most is having the courage to take the first step. You don’t need to have everything figured out immediately; growth happens incrementally. Each day in a new space is an opportunity to fill it with your dreams, faith, and determination. Building a home is not just about physical furnishings, but about creating a place that reflects hope, resilience, and the choice to move forward despite fear. Many find strength in community support, shared experiences, and focusing on small wins. Embracing the "empty space" can transform fear into motivation to create something meaningful and unique. For anyone facing a fresh start, this journey is a testament that feeling scared is part of the process but does not define the outcome. Your courage writes a new chapter filled with possibility —turning an empty apartment into a beloved home where dreams grow and peace resides.
