Best 4th of July view!
Had the opportunity to finally go to Gas Works Park for 4th of July. It was absolutely spectacular! We arrived at 6:30pm and it seemed as if there was no parking. Then my bestie said maybe we should go to Northgate? And I said, “No, you have to be optimistic!” Then by the grace of God we literally got a parking spot across from the entrance. #winnning then so at around 7pm we sat down on the hill but the hill was making our butts numb. So we walked around and looked at all the vendors. We saw one area blocked off which had the best view and asked how do we get in there? Security said it’s the area for the sponsors. So we asked security where should we go for the best free view? She told us to go on or near the tip of the hill. As we were walking over there I noticed people just standing so I said let’s just stand here. As we stood behind the first row of people there was this 6”3 Asian guy who we honestly couldn’t see past. Short story short I somehow managed to get in front of him with my friend beside me. Making it a memorable night of perfect views and great parking. Watching the fireworks allowed me to reflect and realize don’t let anyone put you down because baby you’re a firework and you deserve kindness.
