My cat every time I work 😭
They only want you when they can't have you 😸
As someone who works from home, I’ve noticed my cat’s uncanny timing. It’s almost like they have a sixth sense for when I’m focused on my laptop or phone. Whenever I try to concentrate, my cat gently taps my hand, jumps onto my keyboard, or curls up in my lap, demanding undivided attention. This behavior aligns well with the well-known notion that "They only want you when they can't have you." Cats often crave interaction and love when their humans are fully available. When we’re busy, their instincts to seek companionship and affection kick in even stronger. From my experience, creating designated playtimes before or after work helps reduce their interruptions. Also, providing some engaging toys or a cozy spot near your workspace can satisfy their curiosity and need for closeness without distracting you. Cats tend to value the quality of attention they receive, and while their timing can be frustrating, it’s a sign of deep bonding and affection. Understanding this behavior has helped me balance productivity with giving my feline friend the love they deserve, creating a more harmonious work-from-home environment.
