Letting Go and Letting God 🫶
Growing up my grandpa was a preacher, the older I got the more I can see how god used him to reach the broken, the sick, the hurting, the lonely, the hungry and the confused.
Before my grandpa passed in May of this year he asked a nurse to pray with him for a woman across the hall because god had laid it on his heart to pray for her.
The nurse was shocked, she went on to explain the woman was dying. Nobody had told him that, but God did. He prayed for her and later that day she passed.
God used him even though my grandpa was sick himself. He underwent a Liver transplant in March of 2024 and passed 2 months after.
See God has faithfully surrounded me my whole life. And now at 25 I couldn’t be more grateful for it. While I am not the perfect Christian the past few months god has been calling me.
I feel like it’s time I set aside my plans for myself and let go.
Let God lead me.
I want to be someone who leads others to Christ the way others have led me. Love everyone, forgive everyone, live true to who God created me to be.
I’ve never been one to fake who I am, and will stand up for what’s right. However there are times I’ve stayed quiet because I felt like I wasn’t “qualified” to speak about things I’m not very well versed in.
It’s time to let go and let God.

It's a powerful and often challenging journey to truly let go and trust God, especially when life throws unexpected curveballs. We often hear the phrase "Let go and let God," but what does that really look like in our daily lives? For me, it's been a process of continually surrendering my own plans and desires, recognizing that His wisdom far surpasses my own. It means releasing the need for control, understanding that I don't always have to have all the answers or predict every outcome. Building this kind of trust isn't a one-time decision; it's an ongoing practice. One of the most impactful ways I've cultivated deeper trust is by reflecting on how God is working in my life. When I take a moment to look back, I can clearly see His hand, even in situations that felt confusing or painful at the time. Those moments of clarity reinforce the belief that He is always present, always working for my good, even when I can't perceive it in the moment. It's a reminder that Jesus is The Way, The Truth and The Light, guiding us through every season. Practically, cultivating trust involves consistent communication through prayer. It’s not just about asking for things, but about sharing my fears, my hopes, and simply listening for His gentle whispers. Sometimes, His guidance comes through scripture, a quiet nudge, or even through the wisdom of trusted friends. It's about opening my heart to receive, rather than trying to force my own agenda. Reading devotionals and spending time in reflection also helps anchor my faith and reminds me of His unwavering character. There are moments, of course, when doubt creeps in, and trusting feels incredibly difficult. In those times, I try to remember that faith isn't the absence of doubt, but the courage to press forward despite it. It's in those vulnerable moments that we often experience God's comfort and reassurance most profoundly. Learning to lean into that discomfort, rather than pulling away, has been key to strengthening my spiritual muscles. Ultimately, trusting God is about experiencing a profound sense of freedom. It frees us from the burden of carrying everything on our own shoulders, allowing us to walk in peace, knowing that we are held and loved. It’s about accepting that His timing is perfect, and His plans are always for our ultimate good, even when they diverge from what we initially envisioned. This journey of faith, of letting go and truly trusting, is an invitation to experience life with a deeper sense of purpose and divine connection.
