Never playing solos again😭

Yeah, that just happened to me, and honestly, it’s the worst. One minute you’re strategizing, the next you’re left to play solos by yourself, scrambling to adjust your entire game plan. It went from a team effort to a fight for my life, completely solo. Suddenly, the entire dynamic shifts. When you’re playing with friends, you have that backup, the revives, the extra firepower. But when you’re forced into a single-player situation, every step feels so much riskier. Every bush could hide an enemy, every sound could be your undoing. I tried to pivot, you know? I was thinking, "Okay, new game plan: play it safe, try to get some weapons, maybe third-party some fights." But it's easier said than done when you're used to having someone watching your back. My heart was pounding the whole time. I landed, managed to grab a decent loadout, and tried to stay out of sight. I avoided the hot drops, rotated carefully, and even got a couple of eliminations! For a moment, I thought, "Maybe I can actually pull this off!" But the pressure built up, especially knowing that one mistake meant instant elimination with no one to revive me. Eventually, I ran into a really skilled player, and despite my best efforts, I just couldn't outplay them. The result? I placed #64. Sixty-fourth! After all that effort and stress, it felt like such a letdown. For anyone else who finds themselves in an unexpected solo Fortnite match, here’s what I learned (mostly from what NOT to do, haha): First, accept your fate quickly. Don't try to play aggressively like you would with a team unless you're confident in your solo combat skills. Focus on survival. Land somewhere quiet, farm up materials, and get good shields. Second, consider your loadout differently. Maybe prioritize long-range weapons and mobility items to escape sticky situations rather than always pushing with close-range shotguns. Third, use everything around you – building is key for defense, and sound cues are your best friend for anticipating enemies. Finally, don't be afraid to disengage if a fight isn't going your way. Sometimes, living to fight another day (or another enemy) is the smarter play. This experience truly highlighted how much I rely on my teammates. The mental game of playing solo is just different. The constant vigilance, the lack of a second chance… it’s exhausting. It definitely makes me appreciate squad and duo modes even more. After that #64 finish, I'm seriously questioning if I'll ever willingly queue up for Fortnite single player again. It was a brutal reminder of how unforgiving the game can be when it's just you against 99 others.
