I miss summer I never thought I’d say that lol
It's funny, right? You spend all summer wishing for cooler weather, and then as soon as it's gone, you're looking back at all your sunny memories and thinking, 'Wow, I actually miss that!' That's exactly how I feel whenever I scroll through my camera roll and land on photos from our last Disney summer trip. There’s just something so uniquely magical about being at a Disney park when the sun is shining bright, even with the heat! I remember one particular trip with my best friend. We were both sporting our favorite Mickey ear headbands – mine sparkly, hers classic – and just soaking in every moment. The energy during summer at Disney is just unmatched. From the vibrant parades dancing down Main Street to the spectacular fireworks lighting up the night sky over Cinderella Castle, every day feels like a celebration. We spent hours exploring, laughing, and yes, definitely sweating a little, but those are the memories that stick with you. One thing I've learned about enjoying Disney during the summer is all about the strategy! Hydration is KEY. We always made sure to grab those free cups of ice water wherever we could. Also, taking advantage of indoor attractions during the hottest parts of the day is a lifesaver. It’s the perfect excuse to explore some darker, cooler rides like 'Pirates of the Caribbean' or 'Haunted Mansion,' or even catch a show in an air-conditioned theater. Those moments of respite make the outdoor adventures even more enjoyable. And let's talk about the photos! Every corner of a Disney park is a photo op, but during summer, with the bright blue skies, everything just pops. Getting that perfect selfie with Cinderella Castle as your backdrop, or capturing the joy on your friend’s face as they spot their favorite character – those are priceless. My friend and I have countless 'smiling women' selfies from our trips, each one a little time capsule of pure happiness. Even though I'm missing those warm, magical Disney days right now, thinking about them always gets me excited for the next adventure. It's not just about the rides or the characters; it's about the feeling of escape, the joy of sharing those moments with loved ones, and the simple magic that only Disney can create.
